Seasons For Growth
Boys and Girls from 6 years to 12 years (Levels 1, 2, & 3)

Strengthens the social and emotional well being of children who have experienced significant change or loss in their lives such as divorce, death, absent parent, relocation of home or school, friendship breakup. The program provides a safe learning environment for children and young people where they can give voice to their experiences, understand and befriend their feelings, learn skills that help them adapt, develop friendships, and recognise ‘I’m not the only one’.

Butterflies for Girls
8 years to 11 years

The evolving caterpillar to butterfly analogy assists children to identify their strengths in the face of change and uncertainty, and to better understand life's journey is evolving.  Whilst life can present children with unwanted, unusual, confusing, upsetting and challenging experiences, it also presents with positive ones however small or big.

A six week program consisting of weekly one hour sessions​.

Pirates for Boys
8 years to 11 years

This program uses the analogy of sailing through rough seas to help children identify their strengths in dealing with the unknown.

​

An eight week program consisting of 1 hour weekly sessions.

​

Aims: 

  • Reduction of stress and worry

  • Increase problem solving skills

  • Build emotional literacy, regulation and expression

  • Increase pro social behaviours

  • Foster dreams and hopes for the future

Kindy Koala
Social Dyads or Triads  (5 years of age)

Intensive social skills-based program for children who require practice with one or two peers, without the larger group setting.

​

The therapist guides and supports two or three children, close in age,  in play to help further develop play, emotional and social  skills. 

​

A six week program consisting of 40 minute weekly sessions.

Bringing Up Great Kids
Tuning Into Teens

Advice and support to assist parents and carers communicate positively and calmly with their children. This is a six session program for parents with children in pre or primary school. This program is designed to promote positive, respectful parent/child relationships by helping parents and carers to:

​

  • Learn about the origins of your parenting style and how it can be more effective

  • Learn about child brain development and its influence

  • Build a positive relationship with your children and to build effective communication with your children

  • Understand and respond mindfully to your children’s behaviour

  • Learn ways to help develop each child’s positive self-identity

  • Discover how to overcome obstacles preventing you being the kind of parent you want to be

  • Consider ways to take care of yourself and find support

A six session parenting program for parents and carers of teens (12 years and above) to help teens develop emotional intelligence. This program is designed to assist parent and carers to: 

​

• communicate more effectively with your teen
• understand your teen better
• help your teen to manage difficult emotions
• help to prevent behavioural issues in your teen
• teach your teen how to deal with conflict more effectively.

 

The benefits for helping your teen attain higher emotional intelligence, include:

• are more aware, assertive and strong in situations of peer pressure
• have greater success with making friends and are more able to manage conflict with peers
• are more able to cope when upset or angry
• have fewer mental health and substance abuse difficulties
• have more stable and satisfying relationships as adults
